Annual Research Day at the Washington Memorial Library's Genealogy Room
1180 Washington Ave., Macon, Georgia 31201
The Genealogical & Historical Room is one of the best libraries for family history research in the south. If you've never been before, this is the perfect opportunity to discover some of the 32,000 books and 24,000 microforms housed there. The day starts about 9:15 with a "tour" of the Genealogy Room and a description of the many and varied resources for the genealogist. Not sure how to get started? CGGS members will be on hand to offer research assistance. Lunch is on your own with a variety of fast food options near by. The library is open from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm.
